Pavel & Sarah's Opposites Attract Engagement Shoot - Part Two

We shared previously about the importance of a two-part "opposites attract" engagement shoot for the beautiful couple, Sarah and Pavel. Once their Toronto Financial District Engagement Shoot was complete, we made our way to the grassy fields of High Park, Toronto to complete a Parisian Picnic inspired engagement shoot, executed perfectly by Sarah.

This second part of the engagement shoot highlights some gorgeous and soft details and points to the lilac colour tones that will be incorporated into the couple's destination wedding next year. I loved being able to capture this couple's romantic picnic in the park and hope you enjoy the soft and sweet photos we took together.

During our time together, Pavel and Sarah told us the sweetest stories of how they are just so completely different from one another, and how they compliment each other so perfectly. They summed it up with a cute little story about food (who doesn't love a good story about food?): often, the couple can't agree on what to eat for dinner. She loves one type of cooking, and he can't stand it; he prefers to eat a certain way, and she can't see why.

But when it comes to chicken... this couple has it figured out. She loves dark meat; he loves white meat; and when they roast a chicken, everyone is happy. They are each the missing half in the other's life and it gives me all the good feels to see such a beautiful love story unfolding.

Enjoy.

Pavel & Sarah's Opposites Attract Engagement Shoot - Part One

Pavel and Sarah are such a unique couple in that they are polar. opposites. Their tastes could not be more diverse if they tried, but for some reason, these two are the perfect pair. That's why we did a two part "opposites attract" engagement shoot; part one photographed by John in a downtown Financial District setting, to the liking of Pavel - part two photographed by Samantha in the setting sun at High Park, bringing in soft and lovely components that carry meaning to Sarah.

First, the couple met John at SpeakEasy 21 in the Financial District and started the session with a cocktail. Pavel knows a good cocktail; being the owner of Good Game Bar in Toronto, recognized for its excellence in top-quality mixed drinks, this was the perfect way to start this part of the shoot. Next, the couple took to the streets of the Financial District in Toronto, making use of some of the city's most amazing architecture and capturing the urban vibe that Pavel loves. They had fun exploring this part of the city and John did such a wonderful job capturing this element of their relationship.

Peter & Izabella's Travel-Inspired Engagement Shoot at the Markham Museum

Peter and Izabella have been so much fun to plan a travel-themed engagement shoot with! Their upcoming July wedding at Liuna Station has a vintage travel theme that was a perfect fit for their engagement photos at the Markham Museum. Making use of old steam trains, a vintage train station, and the romance of the in-bloom apple blossoms was an amazing way to help prepare our vision for the wedding of this beautiful couple.

Stylistically, Izabella's floral printed hip pleat skirt was an amazing way to add timeless fashion into this vintage-styled shoot, and paired with her choice of statement jewelry create such a beautiful look I adore. I love that Peter chose to wear a suit jacket for this shoot; without a formal tie, his look is casual but sophisticated and it completed the vibe this couple was going for.

Thanks for choosing us to work with you Peter & Izabella! We can't wait to see your wedding day come together with all of the details you so perfectly plan to pull together.
