How to Choose the Right Wedding Venue | Nestleton Waters Inn Vendor Spotlight

Choosing the right space to get married can feel like a daunting task. There is so much to consider, from budget to travel distance all the way down to style! So, after 7 years of experience in the industry we thought we’d make it a little easier on you by highlighting one of our favourite wedding venues in the Greater Toronto Area... Introducing Nestleton Waters Inn!

Now, Nestleton Waters Inn is no news to wedding industry experts. This stunning (gorgeous, lovely, beautiful) location has been featured in The Knot Best of Weddings every year consecutively since 2014 and has earned a whopping 4.9 out of 5 stars on WeddingWire. Even if you’re just looking for a beautiful bed and breakfast to enjoy, John and I have stayed there ourselves after finding its perfect ratings on TripAdvisor and recommend Nestleton Waters Inn to anyone looking to get away in Ontario.

But our favourite thing about Nestleton is the way its run: this place is a professional family business through and through. We know for ourselves all of the ups and downs that can come with owning and operating a family business and we wouldn’t trade it for the world.

After sitting down with Deborah, the owner of Nestleton Waters Inn, we think you can see why Nestleton Waters Inn could be a top contender for a 2016 or 2017 wedding venue. Check out what Deborah has to say about finding the right wedding venue in Ontario.

Q: Deborah, what is your favourite thing about hosting weddings at Nestleton Waters Inn?

A: Our favorite thing about hosting weddings at Nestleton Waters Inn is family. We are a family business, (the inn designed and built by my husband Erik and his Dad, and decorated by my mother-in-law Erika and myself), and we often have three generations working together during summer weddings when our kids come home from university and help out. When we do a tour or host a wedding, we are also inviting people into our home, as we live onsite (but in a separate areas from the guests). We are personally invested in the grounds, vendors who partner with us, the wedding planning, the big day and the morning after when we host a big brunch with home fries, bacon, sausage, and fresh home-made baking etc. Watching our couples get married and become family, watching families celebrate together, all this brings warmth to our hearts and makes us thankful, thankful that in this world there can be such joy and celebration, and that we can be a part of it!

Q: What elements do you find critical for brides and grooms looking for the perfect wedding venue?

A: Find the soul of the venue first before the price or date availability. It's the setting where you'll seal your love, and at its rawest most vulnerable, what does the venue say to you? Does it draw the dreams out of you? Start with that and then sort out the rest.

Q: Do you have any advice for someone looking for a great wedding venue?

A: At Nestleton we choose to be a place where luxury in the woods by the water happens! We want our couples (many of whom travel here from various parts of the globe) to have a full team supporting them. We look after the entire wedding from start to finish doing all the setup, and cleanup, so our couples just have to show up! ;) We believe in destination weddings, but personalized. Click on any page of our website www.nestletonwatersinn.com on our "Wedding Quote" button and answer the prompts to get back your personalized destination wedding package with a complimentary hold for seven days on a preferred date (if we have something available). There are so many incredible unique venues out there now for couples to choose from now! We're delighted at Nestleton Waters Inn to be a part of the offerings available and if we can't accommodate you, ask for referrals and we'll gladly give you info on a whole pile of other possible area venues!
